It has been brought to our attention that Mellon mailed letters to some employees who requested to have their HSA transferred to Bank of America. These letters were sent without our knowledge.
The letters from Mellon state that more paperwork is needed from you in order to process your transfer. If you receive this letter, you do not need to respond. The deadline to transfer your funds has passed. Therefore, these letters should not have been sent. Because we do not know if you received a letter, we cannot contact you directly.
You still have options regarding your Mellon account. When the HSA transfer is complete next week, we can identify if you turned in your transfer forms, but your account was still not transferred. We will contact you at that time to advise you that your account did not transfer and to explain the options.
